I DARE YOU, BUT HE COMMANDED!

Jason Durham

We know that Christ came to fulfill the law and bring us out of a covenant of law into a covenant of grace. Normally when you think of law, you think of “what NOT to do”. But, when you look at the life of Christ, you see many examples . . . of just the opposite.

  • He ministered to others while grieving both John’s death and Lazarus’s death.
  • He ensured every moment was a teachable moment.
  • He was passionate about compassion.
  • He was physically tired, yet He thought of others first.
  • He answered with questions, He KNEW there would be no answer.
  • He was patient with others ignorance.
  • He was no disrespector of those who had needs because of their needs.
  • He met spiritual needs AND physical needs, regardless.

Look for opportunities to look outside of our cares, and serve others. I dare you, but He commanded you!

Read Matthew 14 and Matthew 15 and soak it in!
